International Finance - Postgraduate Studies – EY Academy of Business

International Finance – Postgraduate Studies

  • Cooperation in groups composed of participants from different countries bringing diverse experiences and knowledge
  • World-class materials, real-life case studies and professionally qualified and experienced trainers conducting lectures and workshops
  • Additional advantages: practicing English in business; learning to create meaningful conversations, apply tools and techniques from everyday life; learning assertiveness, self-confidence, persuasion and how to best use them in financial transactions
  • Courses take place as virtual meetings on average once every three weeks on Saturdays and Sundays from 9 am to 4.30 pm CET. See Timetable for exact dates

Candidates will receive expert, internationally recognized education and training from some of the best academics  and practitioners in finance with local and international experience, knowledge and skills.

All topics will be covered from zero to advanced level at a fast pace.

Course methodology

The courses are intensive , divided into modules and will include a combination of lectures, workshops, case studies, self-study and group work. Analyzing real-world examples will allow students to practically apply the concepts taught.

To pass exams (80% of the overall grade) and complete case studies in groups (20% of the overall grade), you will need to spend some time studying at home.

The materials are specially designed for self-study. Students have constant access to their professors and can ask them for advice or feedback on a completed task.

See an example of materials:  Strategic Planning and Budgeting or IFRS .

Main areas covered by the study program:

  • Financial reporting and analysis based on IFRS compared to US GAAP
  • Financial strategies, valuations, risk management, mergers and acquisitions
  • Strategic planning, monitoring and controlling

All classes are conducted in English.

  • Screen sharing so participants can view and interact with the trainer’s screen in real time;
  • Possibility of voice communication in small groups;
  • “Meeting rooms” , so that the class can be divided into groups for interaction in which case studies will be solved;
