Dr. Mike Jankowski-Lorek

Dr. Mike is a solution architect, developer, data scientist and security expert with more than 15 years of experience in the field.

Dr. Mike designs and implements solutions for the Databases, Network & Management area, mainly for Microsoft platform for medium to enterprise-level organizations. Dr. Mike holds multiple certifications, especially in security, database and software development.

As a passionate person, he loves sharing his knowledge. Since 2007, he has been closely cooperating with the Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology in Warsaw, teaching security, database and data mining-related subjects.

Dr. Mike is additionally interested in Big data, High Availability and real-time analytics especially when combined with machine learning and artificial intelligence or natural language processing. He completed his PhD in 2019, and as a university Lecturer and Director of Consulting, he combines academic knowledge with professional experience and strong technical skills.

Dr. Mike is already an author of multiple scientific publications, including a chapter in “Encyclopedia of Social Network Analysis and Mining” published by Springer.

In private, he likes sailing on the sea and the ocean. Being a typical geek, he also loves all of the possible math riddles which he does really well.

2. Planning, designing and implementing the new Active Directory and Exchange infrastructure for an international legal and tax company.

3. Disaster recovery and securing the IT infrastructure for a production plant of international concern.

4. Designing and implementing Big Data and real-time natural language processing solutions for one of the top media groups in Poland.

5. Migration of multiple legacy database systems (Access, FoxPro, MySQL, SQL Server) for an international production company.
