The Scrum Master Accountability
This practical and immersive training helps participants move beyond basic Scrum theory to truly understand what it means to be an effective Scrum Master in real-world Agile environments. Designed for current and aspiring Scrum Masters, the course combines an in-depth overview of Agile principles, Scrum and Kanban frameworks, and organizational readiness for Agile transformation with meaningful insights drawn from extensive practitioner experience.
Throughout the programme, you’ll explore not only how Scrum works but, critically, why it succeeds — with a focus on developing the mindset, servant-leadership skills, and collaboration techniques that enable teams and organizations to thrive. The training emphasises both the core mechanics of Scrum (such as ceremonies, roles, artefacts, planning and estimation) and the behaviours that drive high-performance teams and sustainable Agile change.
Best suited for current and potential Scrum Masters from organizations that are in a middle of an agile transition or planning to start that journey.
There are many ways to learn about Scrum or Agile in general – but this program gives the opportunity to learn from someone who received his Scrum Master certificate on a course ran personally by Ken Schwaber in 2006 and already implemented various agile approaches on multiple occasions in various companies. This wealth of experience is extremely valuable when there are difficult questions to be answered and when the theory needs to be backed up with real-life examples. You will learn not only the theory behind Scrum but also how to solve the difficult challenges of a transition in a practical way.
Objectives
After completing the training, participants will be able to understand the concepts behind Scrum, the importance of a time-driven approach and will get familiar with the ceremonies, the accountabilities (roles) of Scrum and the artefacts, including how to use them efficiently. Participants will understand the standard tools and techniques that a Scrum Master can use to help their teams make participatory decisions and encourage collaboration and innovation, while they will be able to help their organizations to create an environment in which Scrum can thrive.
Benefits
- An internationally acknowledged trainer who started helping teams on their Agile journey in 2005
- Listen to experiences accumulated by running multiple Agile transitions across various industries, companies and countries
- Understand not just the theory, but the mindset that drives the most successful adaptive organizations
By attending this course, you can avoid making the usual and painful mistakes many Scrum Masters make after only learning the theory of Scrum – the ceremonies, the roles and the artefacts. Of course, knowing those is important, but the philosophy and the necessary mindset change is even more important. These things are best learnt from someone who already ran several transitions and taught thousands of participants on this topic and can back up the theory with unique stories and real-life scenarios.
