Graduate of Computer Science and Management in IT. He obtained his PMP® (Project Management Professional) certification in 2005 and earned his Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM) certification in 2006. He also holds the PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP®) certification. Since 2012, he has been vice president of the Hungarian branch of PMI (Project Management Institute).
He started his professional career as a software developer. In the following years, he gained experience working as a Project Manager at Nokia Networks R&D in Hungary, where he successfully led the introduction of Agile methodologies. As Project Manager, he also worked at Vertu Luxury Phones in the UK, where he introduced improvements in project management methods and tools.
In the following years, Balazs ran his own game development company and later served as publishing director for a Hungarian company operating in the same industry. Balazs also worked as an executive producer for an American computer game company.
Since 2009, he has been an independent trainer in the field of project management. He has taught Project Management Professional exam preparation courses and Agile Project Management courses for various clients, including Vodafone, Lexmark and EY in various European locations (UK, Poland, Sweden, Austria, Hungary).
He is an expert in both predictive and adaptive project management and has taught more than 2,000 participants in in-house and open courses. He can draw an objective and rich picture from which organizations can decide what kind of thinking is appropriate in a given situation, and help them transform based on his diverse experience.
At EY Academy of Business, Balazs provides specialized training courses to prepare for PMP® and PMI-ACP® (PMI Agile Certified Practitioner) certifications.

Senior Project Manager at Nokia Networks R&D (team size: 60-120) — the first ever successful transition of a team of over 100 people from a waterfall methodology to an Agile development methodology, resulting in exemplary project success and exceptional department motivation (No. 1 in the world within the business unit based on an annual survey).
2. Project Manager at Vertu Luxury Phones (team size: 15+) — introducing improvements in project management methods and tools for managing Vertu's portfolio of flagship stores in the Global Retail division, multiplying the number of concurrent projects.
